This is the first edition of the Green Earth blog. Green Earth is dedicated to the environment. Green Earth is dedicated to social justice. Green Earth is dedicated to the concept that: we have one earth, we are on one spaceship, we are in this together, we must respect all peoples.
For many years I sat on the sidelines of life letting others dictate what should be said and how to say it. Politicians with personal agendas act as ventriloquists mocking our mass thoughts and projecting only what they think must be said to protect their contibutors and to protect their re-election. Today, this will change. Green Earth speaks for many, like me, that realize this world is heading down a dangerous path. Global Warming/Climate Change is real. Global distress/global intolerance is real.
Let us have a discourse and be open to the fact that the people of this world cannot accept untruths about what is happening around us. Let us not let the media dictate what is shown, hiding the vast array of pain that others experience all around the world. Let us not let politicians dictate (dictators should not rule, including the dictator that calls himself President of the United States) the rules of this world.
Belief in a God is a right that one has to respect -- regardless of God or diety or monument or icon; whether it be Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Jew... all people. Non-believers have that same right. Belief in tribal communities is a right, just as democracy is a right. Intolerance is what spreads senseless violence. Let us understand that we are all here and have no where else to go. Regardless of belief, let us share the world. Let us share in the burden of protecting this land. Tell the leaders "no more" when it comes to disbelief in Global Warming. Tell the leaders "no more" when it comes to war. Tell the leaders "no more" re-elections if they fail.
Welcome to Green Earth.
